Clinical psychology practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of attention, learning and memory disorders. I also look at coexisting conditions such as anxiety, depression and family system dysfunction, etc. Evaluations focus on cognitive, psycho-social and emotional variables. In depth assessment of memory, attention variables, and executive function are evaluated utilizing the most current assessment tools available. For school aged individuals, the assessment also includes, when possible, input from teachers, in addition to parents. Once an evaluation is completed, a treatment plan can be devised that may include communication with pediatricians, primary care physicians, other mental health providers, teachers, educational specialists, coaches,etc. Individual and/ or family therapy can also be provided as indicated.

As a psychotherapist, Dr. Jacobs works with individuals who experience anxiety disorders, depression and/or mood disorders. A cognitive behavioral approach in conjunction with supportive psychotherapy is utilized. When working with children, family therapy is also essential.
